Jennifer’s older brother, Joe, received a kidney transplant when he was 23 years old. Joe now participates as an athlete on Team Wisconsin at the US Transplant Games. The games have inspired Jennifer to do more for organ and tissue donation. In May 2008 Jennifer became a volunteer and by November 2008, she joined the WDN staff as the volunteer and events intern. She is a full-time student at Gateway Technical College and will graduate with an Associate’s Degree in Business Management in August 2009.
